Job Description

Position: Data Scientist

Location: Vancouver, BC

Salary: $80,000 – $100,000 per year

We are seeking a talented and motivated Data Scientist to join our team in Vancouver, BC. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing complex data sets, developing models and algorithms to extract valuable insights, and help drive data-driven decision making within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
– Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and develop data-driven solutions
– Collect, clean, and analyze large volumes of data from various sources
– Build and deploy machine learning models for predictive analytics
– Translate analytical findings into meaningful insights and actionable recommendations for business stakeholders
– Collaborate with software engineers to implement models in production systems
– Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in data science and machine learning

Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field
– 2+ years of experience in data science or a related field
– Strong programming skills in Python and R
– Experience working with big data tools such as Hadoop, Spark, or Hive
– Knowledge of machine learning algorithms, statistical techniques, and data visualization
