The Senior Electrical Designer position at Introba in Vancouver, BC, offers a salary between $80,000 and $100,000 per year. This full-time, permanent role involves collaborating with a team to deliver innovative building engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Team Leader/Project Manager by setting up and maintaining design files.
- Perform cable calculations and lighting modeling.
- Design low voltage (LV), high voltage (HV), control, and lighting systems with minimal supervision.
- Ensure adherence to Introba’s design checklist and AutoCAD standards.
- Review or prepare final motor lists and equipment selections.
- Coordinate electrical and mechanical requirements with other project disciplines.
- Confirm service requirements and connections with utility and municipal agencies.
- Attend project progress meetings and field reviews.
- Review and supervise drafting, providing markups as needed.
- Assist with fee proposal preparation and maintain client relations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years AutoCAD experience and over 5 years in designing LV, HV, control, and lighting systems.
- Revit experience is advantageous.
- Ability to read architectural, structural, and electrical drawings with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of electrical building services engineering codes.
- Proficiency in conducting detailed site surveys.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in coaching and teaching.
- Ability to effectively communicate ideas in meetings with architects and consultants.
- Professional Engineer (PEng), Applied Science Technologist (AScT), or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) designations are highly preferred.
- LEED® Accredited Professional designation is an asset.
