Title: Quality Engineer – Medical Devices

Location: Markham, ON

Position Summary:

We are currently seeking a Quality Engineer to join our team in Markham, ON. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all quality assurance activities are carried out according to the company’s quality management system. This position will also involve working closely with cross-functional teams to identify and implement quality improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

– Develop and maintain quality assurance procedures and processes
– Conduct internal and external audits to ensure compliance with regulatory standards
– Investigate and resolve product quality issues, including non-conformances and customer complaints
– Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to address quality concerns and develop corrective action plans
– Participate in new product development activities, including design reviews and validation testing
– Provide training and support to employees on quality management system requirements
– Drive continuous improvement efforts to enhance overall product quality and customer satisfaction

Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
– Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality engineering, preferably in the medical devices industry
– Strong understanding of ISO 13485 and FDA regulations
– Experience with risk management and root cause analysis methodologies
– Excellent communication and organizational skills
– Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
