Job Description

Medical laboratory technicians are a valuable member of the healthcare team, who perform a variety of laboratory tests to assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, strong organization skills, and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
– Perform routine laboratory tests on patient samples, such as blood, urine, and other bodily fluids
– Prepare and analyze samples using laboratory equipment and instruments
– Record and report test results accurately and in a timely manner
– Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure proper calibration and maintenance
– Keep accurate records of all tests performed and maintain confidentiality of patient information
– Adhere to all safety and quality control protocols to ensure accurate and reliable test results
– Communicate effectively with healthcare providers and other team members to coordinate patient care

Qualifications:
– Associate’s degree in medical laboratory technology or a related field
– Certification as a medical laboratory technician (MLT) or clinical laboratory technician (CLT) preferred
– Previous experience working in a medical laboratory setting
– Knowledge of laboratory testing procedures and equipment
– Strong attention to detail and accuracy
– Good communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
