Position: Truck Driver

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $24.00 to $26.00 /hour

H-M Transport is currently looking for a Truck Driver to join our team in Cambridge, ON. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials over long distances in a safe and efficient manner.

Duties and Responsibilities:
– Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks, weighing over 4600 kg with three or more axles, to transport goods and materials to destinations
– Plan routes and schedules, and communicate delivery instructions to ensure timely and efficient deliveries
– Load and unload goods and materials, including securing cargo for transport
– Ensure the safe operation of the vehicle and adherence to all traffic and transportation laws and regulations
– Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, and report any maintenance issues or concerns
– Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel use, and other relevant information
– Provide excellent customer service and represent the company in a professional manner

Qualifications:
– Valid Class 1 or Class A driver’s license
– Clean driving record and ability to provide a driver’s abstract
– Minimum of 2 years of experience operating commercial vehicles
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
– Attention to detail and commitment to safety
