Job description: Job Description:We are seeking a skilled and experienced Environmental/Geotechnical Driller to join our Applied Solutions team. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in drilling operations and hold a Class 3 Well Technician certification. • Operate and maintain drilling equipment: Efficiently operate various drilling rigs and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
• Conduct soil, groundwater, and rock sampling: Perform accurate sampling procedures to gather data for environmental and geotechnical analysis.
• Install monitoring wells and piezometers: Set up and install monitoring wells and piezometers to track groundwater levels and quality.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations: Adhere to all relevant safety protocols and environmental guidelines to protect personnel and the environment.
• Prepare and maintain accurate drilling logs and reports: Document drilling activities, sample collection, and site conditions in detailed logs and reports.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to achieve project objectives and deadlines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues: Identify and address any mechanical or operational issues with drilling equipment to minimize downtime.
• Perform routine maintenance on drilling equipment: Conduct regular maintenance checks and repairs to ensure equipment is in good working condition.

What you’ll bring to WSP:

• Experience: 3-5 years of experience in environmental or geotechnical drilling.
• Certification: Class 3 Well Technician certification.
• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of drilling techniques, equipment operation, and maintenance.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations related to drilling operations.
• Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills to address technical challenges and equipment issues.
• Communication: Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and report findings.
• Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain detailed records.
• Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license required (A restricted or DZ license).
