The job description is for a Project Coordinator in a Design department, reporting to the Project Manager. The role is located in Vancouver, British Columbia and is a full-time, permanent position. The Project Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the smooth running of projects on a daily basis.
Title: Welding Inspector

Location: Calgary, AB, Canada

Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Welding Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting and testing welded joints to ensure they meet quality and safety standards. The Welding Inspector will also be responsible for interpreting blueprints, specifications, and diagrams to ensure accurate welding processes. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.

Responsibilities:

– Conduct visual inspections of welded joints to ensure compliance with specifications and standards
– Perform non-destructive testing (NDT) using methods such as ultrasonic testing, magnetic particle testing, and liquid penetrant testing
– Interpret welding codes, symbols, and standards to ensure accurate and compliant welding processes
– Create detailed inspection reports and documentation
– Collaborate with engineers and other team members to ensure quality and safety standards are met
– Communicate with contractors and other stakeholders to address welding issues and provide recommendations for improvement
– Keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in welding inspection

Qualifications:

– Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification is required
– Minimum of 3 years of experience in welding inspection
– Strong knowledge of welding processes, procedures, and standards
– Proficiency in interpreting blueprints, specifications, and diagrams
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
– Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
– Experience with non-destructive testing (NDT) methods is an asset
