Start program. G. Start is a paid internship program with the goal of developing students for future technical and managerial positions. G. Start is a program that values the diversity and inclusion of our business and society.This position will be a full-time, 12-month long internship opportunity.Process EngineeringSupport the Improvement project requirements of the EAF.Provide input for the Annual Action Plan for 2024/25.Develop a strong understanding of the process and requirements of the shop to achieve production targets.Consult with melt shop personnel to develop and improve project design challenges.Leverage process data to help guide improvement project initiatives.Identify and execute design changes to support process improvements.Document and manage changes.Develop Leadership SkillsIntroduction to managing a process in a unionized heavy manufacturing facility.The opportunity to train an incoming intern in 2025 as they hand off their responsibilities over 3 months to another candidate, and to transfer part of their learnings.SoftwaresMicrosoft Office suiteAdvanced Excel skillsAutoDesk Inventor, CATIA, Solidworks or equivalentAutoCADPROGRAM REQUIREMENTS:An Intern with Gerdau must have an eagerness to grow personally and professionally, being a part of a global company with more than 120 years of entrepreneurship and achievements in the steel industry.
