- Valid DZ driver’s license and clean abstract
- Knowledge of the Highway Traffic Act and municipality by-laws
- Knowledge of operating equipment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience driving a ready-mix concrete truck
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Mechanically inclined
- Basic understanding of concrete
Day in the LifeAs a Ready Mix Driver, you will begin to know the highways like the back of your hand, as you will be responsible for transporting precious cargo, operating and driving straight trucks, conveyor trucks and loading/unloading materials. Strong communications skills will also be necessary as you coordinate with clients, customers and dispatch.When you are not driving, you will be conducting daily circle checks on vehicles, cleaning, and performing equipment maintenance, and help with clean up around the plant. Safety will be your number one priority.
