  • You’ll work directly with multidisciplinary teams of Project Managers, Engineers, Planners, Designers, Analysts, sub-consultants, and other staff as required
  • You’ll support the development of initial project teaming agreements and strategizing of key commercial terms and conditions
  • You’ll review proposed project agreements and support the identification of scope and required deliverables for WSP and partnering subconsultants
  • You’ll support the development and approval process for as-sold budgets and work breakdown structures used to manage and track commercial performance during project execution
  • You’ll coordinate with in-house insurance teams for the procurement and approval of project-specific insurance policies and other insurance coverage required by contract
  • You’ll support the development and execution of contracts with WSP’s major project clients and partnering subconsultants, including back-end exhibits for scoping exclusions, contract milestones, progress payment and change mechanisms, and insurance requirements
  • You’ll support change management processes during project execution, including proactively identifying deviations from agreed-to scope, developing change narratives and justification, assessing and quantifying schedule and cost impacts, compiling final change packages, and maintenance of project change logs
  • You’ll, in conjunction with Project Controls teams, manage the financial health of the project, including accurate reporting of both schedule and cost performance and proactively identifying and controlling unplanned variances
  • You’ll organize billing drafts, compiling monthly invoices, and following up for approval and payment, managing sub-consultant receivables
  • You’ll provide project teams and stakeholders with interpretation and clarification of contract and scope requirements and interfacing with in-house legal counsel where required

What you’ll bring to WSP:

  • You bring 3-6 years of relevant project and financial coordination experience
  • You have a post-secondary diploma or undergraduate degree (project management, construction management, engineering, finance, or business) is an asset
  • You bring previous relevant experience in engineering consulting or construction
  • You will be bringing stakeholder and client management capabilities to the table
  • Strong communications skills, both written and verbal, including report and contract writing, editing, and proofreading abilities
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills

  • You will apply Civil 3D knowledge on water and wastewater projects including but not limited to preparation of Civil3D surface from survey data, create alignments, plan & profiles, sections & details, assemblies & sub-assemblies, corridors and pipe networks.
  • You will prepare Site Servicing, Grading Plans and Profiles for pump stations and treatment plants in Civil3D adhering to company BIM/CAD standards.
  • You will manage design tasks and ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
  • You will also do Cut/fill volumes and materials calculations for cost estimates.
  • You will coordinate BIM processes and work closely with project teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • You will contribute to project milestones, ensuring designs meet quality standards and client expectations.

What you’ll bring to WSP …

  • Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering Technology.
  • 5+ years of experience in delivering Civil projects as per Client standards, on schedule and on budget.
  • Fully conversant with Civil3D and knowledge of BIM.
  • Experience with GIS is required.
  • Working knowledge of MicroStation, Infraworks, or Revit is a valuable asset.
