Job Description:
Our client, a well-established restaurant in Mississauga, is currently seeking a Kitchen Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, inventory management, and maintaining food safety standards. The Kitchen Manager will also be responsible for hiring and training kitchen staff, creating and updating menus, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. The successful candidate will have proven experience in a similar role, strong leadership skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality food and customer service.
Responsibilities:
– Oversee all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating
– Manage inventory levels and food costs
– Enforce food safety standards and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
– Hire, train, and supervise kitchen staff
– Develop and update menus, taking into account seasonal availability and customer preferences
– Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
– Monitor kitchen equipment and schedule maintenance as needed
– Collaborate with management and front-of-house staff to ensure a smooth and efficient operation
– Uphold high standards for food quality and presentation
– Take on other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
