Position: Assistant Controller

Location: Toronto, ON

Salary: $70,000 – $80,000 a year

Job Description:

Our company is seeking an Assistant Controller to join our team in Toronto, ON. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in accounting and financial management, preferably in a similar role.

Responsibilities:
– Assist the Controller in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
– Prepare and analyze financial statements, supporting schedules, and reports
– Supervise and manage accounting staff
– Collaborate with other departments to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial regulations
– Assist with audit and tax preparation

Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
– CPA designation is preferred
– 4+ years of experience in accounting and financial management
– Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
