Fire Safety Engineer

Location: Midrand

Salary: Market related

Our client is seeking a Fire Safety Engineer to join their team in Midrand. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding and experience of fire engineering principles within the built environment and will be responsible for the design of fire safety systems for a variety of projects.

Responsibilities:

– Conducting fire risk assessments
– Designing fire safety systems including detection, alarms, sprinklers, and smoke extract systems
– Providing technical support to clients and colleagues
– Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and standards
– Liaising with authorities and stakeholders
– Writing reports and presenting findings

Requirements:

– Degree in Fire Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or relevant field
– Proven experience in fire safety engineering
– Knowledge of relevant legislation and standards
– Strong communication and presentation skills
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
