Job Description

Role: Communications and Engagement Manager

Location: Edmonton, AB

Salary: $85,000 – $95,000

A growing organization in the Edmonton area is seeking a Communications and Engagement Manager to join their team. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic communication plans, managing internal and external communication channels, and engaging stakeholders in the organization’s initiatives.

Key responsibilities:

– Develop and implement strategic communication plans that align with the organization’s goals and objectives
– Create engaging content for various platforms, including social media, websites, and newsletters
– Manage internal communication channels, including employee newsletters and intranet sites
– Coordinate with internal departments to ensure consistent messaging across all communication channels
– Lead the organization’s stakeholder engagement efforts, including organizing events, meetings, and consultations
– Monitor and analyze communication metrics to measure the effectiveness of communication initiatives

Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, or a related field
– Minimum of 5 years of experience in a communications role, preferably in a corporate or non-profit environment
– Strong written and verbal communication skills
– Experience with social media management and content creation
– Knowledge of stakeholder engagement best practices
– Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks
