Position: Senior Data Scientist

Location: Toronto, ON

Salary: $110,000 – $130,000 a year

We are currently seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our team in Toronto. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, testing and maintaining statistical models, as well as conducting quantitative analysis to provide data-driven insights and solutions. The Senior Data Scientist will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize business opportunities, and will have a deep understanding of machine learning and statistical modeling techniques.

Responsibilities:
– Develop and implement machine learning models to support business objectives
– Conduct statistical analysis and data mining to uncover trends and insights
– Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business opportunities and provide data-driven recommendations
– Work with cross-functional teams to understand and prioritize business goals
– Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership
– Develop and maintain statistical models to support decision-making processes
– Stay current with industry best practices and advancements in statistical modeling and machine learning techniques

Qualifications:
– Advanced degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field
– Minimum of 5 years of experience in data science or related field
– Proficiency in R, Python, SQL, and other statistical modeling tools
– Strong understanding of machine learning and statistical modeling techniques
– Excellent communication and collaboration skills
– Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
