Resident Assistant

Location: Toronto, Ontario

Salary: Competitive

Job Type: Full-time, Part-time, Casual

We are currently looking for compassionate and dedicated Resident Assistants to join our team at a senior living community in Toronto, Ontario. The Resident Assistant will provide support to our residents by assisting with daily living activities, medication management, and personal care. This position requires individuals who are committed to enhancing the quality of life for our residents and promoting a healthy, safe, and enjoyable environment.

Key Responsibilities:

– Assist residents with activities of daily living, such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
– Administer medications and provide medication reminders according to established medication management protocols
– Perform light housekeeping and laundry duties as needed
– Provide companionship and emotional support to residents
– Observe and report any changes in residents’ health or behavior to the appropriate personnel
– Participate in resident activity programs and social events
– Maintain a clean, organized, and safe living environment for residents
– Adhere to all policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
– And all other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

– High school diploma or equivalent
– Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required
– Compassionate and patient demeanor
– Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members
– Strong organizational and time management skills
– Ability to handle multiple priorities and work well under pressure
– Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
– Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
