One of our Telecommunication clients is looking for a Functional Business Analyst (Digital and Marketing Products)
Length: 12 months contract with potential to longer term renewal/perm opportunity
Location: Remote – Canada
Job Profile:
This role is part of the Products & Services team, which will lead lifecycle management of existing products in our Seniors health & wellness portfolio. The successful candidate will support product and process improvement efforts to deliver tangible service differentiation.
Essential Duties
- Analyze, document and validate business requirements from business users and function specification requirements using interviews, document analysis, task and workflow analysis.
- Refines requirements using critical evaluation techniques.
- Performing root cause analysis for product issues, documenting new processes for operational improvements, building requirements for new service introductions, liaising with vendors to build product enhancement roadmaps, leading cross-functional planning meetings and more.
- Document process flows for current / proposed processed, workflows, and data flows.
Prepare use cases, create and define test plans and test cases.
- Interface between business and technical teams and translate technical and business requirements.
- Communicates with project managers, subject matter experts, end users and Senior Executive.
- Performs analysis for projects with some impact on and risk to customer service or revenue generation.
- Typically works on multiple, unrelated projects simultaneously.
- Suggests work packages to fulfill a solution within scope of others.
Represents clients to identify solutions and help prioritize and select among different options proposed.
- Acts as liaison between business and system areas.
- Ensures projects align with the business and technical requirements at the strategic level.
- Understands industry trends and best practices.
- Determines staffing requirements and selects team members.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of business, product, marketing or other related experience, demonstrating progressive development
- Critical thinking, problem solving and analytical skills
- Diagnoses issues using formal problem-solving tools and techniques from multiple angles and probes underlying issues to generate multiple potential solutions
- Proactively anticipates and mitigates roadblocks.
- Communication for Results – Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively to support problem solving and planning.
- Collaboration: strong track record of building and maintaining solid relationships with internal and external customers and vendors
- Superior organizational skills; ability to accomplish multiple tasks within the agreed upon time frames through effective prioritization of duties and functions in a fast-paced environment
- Proven can-do, adaptable attitude in ambiguous situations
