We are looking for a Technical Packaging Intern based at our North York location for the months of May 2025 to August 2025. The Technical Packaging Internship role will be responsible for assisting the packaging team in developing and implementing sustainable, consumer centric packaging solutions for various products, ensuring they meet business requirements and industry standards. The candidate will gain hands on experience in packaging design, material selection and specification management in support of various Nestle businesses.A day in the life of a Technical Packaging Intern
As an intern you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of the packaging environment, from working on sustainability improvements to supporting team members in various packaging projects. You will work closely with the packaging team, learn from industry professionals and contribute to real-world projects.You will also:

  • Work with our local factories to run packaging performance trials
  • Work with cross functional teams to pitch ideas and get alignment on packaging innovations
  • Write specifications in our SAP system
  • Lead some competitive packaging analysis and Nestle packaging by co-ordinating required testing
  • Data collection and analysis to help team determine future cost savings projects

As the successful candidate, you will support the Technical team working with cross functional teams throughout the organization so you will need to be passionate, results focused and really enjoy working in a highly energetic and exciting environment. You are a problem solver, who wants to make a difference here at Nestle and inspire the people around you while working. You will also:

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or post-graduate program in a Packaging or Engineering program.
  • Involvement in extracurricular activities which demonstrate initiative and leadership.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Team player with demonstrated ability to work effectively across all functions and levels.
  • Fast learner, and must be comfortable working within a dynamic, challenging environment.
  • A results and detail-oriented professional with strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Powerpoint is required.
