The Product Owner for TranXact APIs embeds financial services into customers’ products and create the seamless user experiences needed to drive business growth.In this role you’ll determine, evaluate, and prioritize the API roadmap by evaluating client feedback, developing internal insights, and examining external trends. You’ll set the direction of account information reporting and payments APIs and operates in a cross-functional, agile team environment to drive execution.This role collaborates closely with stakeholders across the enterprise to align value, priority, and impact to the Enterprise Payments strategy.This is a hybrid role, with in-office work required at our offices in the financial district of Toronto.What You’ll Do:
- Execute the payments & information reporting API strategies based on business objectives, analytical insights, customer feedback, emerging trends, and market developments.
- Discover new opportunities to address customer needs through client sessions, journey mapping, and industry research.
- Lead the API product lifecycle from concept evaluation, user story definition, and execution.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to create and validate business use cases leveraging product management and industry expertise.
- Partner with sales teams to provide consultative solution support to address client needs.
- Develop and prioritize the API Product Backlog including features, user stories, and acceptance criteria for API products.
- Product launch – establish a go-to-market strategy and collaborate with our product marketing and sales teams to successfully launch new features while effectively communicating product benefits to the market to drive.
- Establish and monitor key performance metrics to inform product decisions, identify trends, and improvement opportunities.
- Adherence to and application of Scotiabank legal, compliance, risk, business continuity and administrative policies within the role and department(s) including the timely completion of training, surveys, etc.
- Participate in Agile cadences to support cross-functional teams in delivering APIs including Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, Daily Stand-Ups, and Retrospectives
What You’ll Bring:
- Strong knowledge of
- Embedded finance services in Canada and around the world
- Cash management services such as information reporting, payable and receivable products
- Open banking
- Web services, APIs, webhooks and streaming services and their practical application in various use cases in the financial industry.
- Payment market infrastructures across LATAM, US, and CANADA, specifically those serving real-time payments.
- ISO20022 and enriched data
- Competency in
- JIRA and confluence
- Kanban boards, and SCRUM methodologies (you must be able to control agile deliveries using metrics such as velocity, MTTR, QA, etc.
- Familiar enough to navigate conversations with SMEs around.
- Public cloud technologies such as AWS, GCP or Azure.
- Cloud native technical architectures (Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform).
- Microservices
- Kafka and Event-driven architectures
integration tests, end-to-end tests, and beyond
- Strong understanding of the evolving payments ecosystem including FinTech’s and PayTechs
- 7+ years in the Financial Services Industry with demonstrated product management and digital product development experience.
- 5+ years of relevant experience cash management and payments product management
- Proven track record of delivering complex, large-scale products across multiple teams in highly collaborative environments.
