Engineers Without Borders Canada (EWB) is seeking a creative Marketing and Communications Coordinator Intern to amplify our organization’s impact stories and engage our community. This is more than just an internship – it’s an opportunity to shape the narrative of how engineering and innovation drive sustainable social change.As our Marketing and Communications Coordinator Intern, you’ll work alongside passionate changemakers to create compelling content that showcases EWB’s impact, engages our community, and advances our mission. You’ll help develop and execute marketing strategies that connect with donors, inspire advocates, and attract future fellows while supporting our 25th Anniversary celebration communications.This remote position offers flexibility while providing hands-on experience in nonprofit marketing, digital communications, and impact storytelling.Duration & Schedule

  • Start Date: Mid-to-Late May 2024
  • Duration: 10-16 weeks
  • Hours: 35 hours per week, full-time
  • Work Mode: Remote with occasional in-person meetings
  • Compensation: Funded through Munk Stipend

Key Responsibilities

  • Create compelling content for multiple platforms (website, social media, newsletters)
  • Support marketing strategies for donor acquisition and advocacy campaigns
  • Develop engaging stories featuring EWB alumni, ventures, and Fellows
  • Manage and grow EWB’s social media presence
  • Assist with 25th Anniversary celebration communications
  • Maintain digital asset library and website content
  • Track campaign performance and prepare analytics reports
  • Support email marketing campaigns and newsletter production
  • Coordinate interviews with stakeholders for content creation
  • Contribute to brand voice consistency across all channels

Required Qualifications

  • Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in social media platforms and digital marketing tools
  • Experience with content management systems
  • Basic design skills and familiarity with design software
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Basic Adobe Creative Suite skills
