Job description: DescriptionJoin our teamThe Digital Product Strategy & Transformation (DPST) team is a central stakeholder in developing, owning, and defending our digital products including telus.com, koodo.com, publicmobile.ca, My TELUS and My TELUS App through the lenses of business need, research & analytics. As such, we quarterback strategic planning and governance for the investments TELUS makes into digital properties across a suite of products (e.g. Mobility, TV, Internet, Security). These projects enable new go-to-market or internal capabilities that are intended to deliver on our strategy, maximize portfolio return, enhance customers experience and drive our likelihood to recommend (L2R).Here’s the impact you’ll make and what we’ll accomplish togetherAs the Senior Strategy Manager, you will be at the forefront of TELUS’ digital evolution, responsible for optimizing capital investments and operating budget to help shape our digital product landscape. You’ll work closely with leadership on planning and business strategy, looking at ways to maximize growth and share insights on both financial and digital performance. Your role will be pivotal in driving best-in-class end-to-end digital customer experiences while ensuring optimal allocation of resources.Here’s howCapital Planning & Governance:

  • Manage and optimize the digital capital portfolio in collaboration with cross-functional project leads and leadership
  • Develop and review business cases to ensure optimal capital allocation and maximum benefits realization
  • Lead monthly governance forum with cross-functional primes to maintain a high standard of compliance with TELUS’ project governance requirements across all digital product strategy initiatives
  • Provide executive-level reporting and portfolio performance analysis
  • Drive continuous improvement in capital planning processes and governance frameworks

Digital Product Strategy:

  • Lead the development and implementation of product strategies aligned with TELUS’ strategic priorities and capital investments
  • Identify market opportunities and develop strategic recommendations for product innovation
  • Create and maintain roadmaps, including feature prioritization and release planning
  • Drive quarterly digital product strategy reviews with executive leadership
  • Guide digital product positioning and go-to-market strategies with Marketing teams

QualificationsYou’re the missing piece of the puzzle

  • Enthusiastic individual with a university degree and/or 5-7 years equivalent experience
  • Proficient in building and analyzing business cases with demonstrated financial acumen to assess benefits, costs, and risks
  • Excellent time management, organization, and planning skills and the ability to manage multiple deliverables to oversee the portfolio in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Track record of building and developing cross-functional relationships
  • Team player with a collaborative mindset and are able to present complex information in an easily understood manner, tailoring the communication to diverse audiences to facilitate understanding
  • Self-motivated having high standards of performance with the ability to deal with complex concepts and ambiguity

Required Professional Designation/Certification:

  • Post-secondary degree required; MBA or CPA an asset
  • Project Management certification an asset
  • Product Management certification an asset

Technical Competencies:

  • Proficient in SAP, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Suite
  • Experience with digital product management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence)
  • Strong financial modeling and forecasting capabilities
  • Familiarity with data analytics and visualization tools
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and tools

Great-to-haves:

  • Experience in telecommunications industry an asset
  • Experience in digital marketing or digital transformation initiatives
