Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineering Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design and implementation of ADA compliant curb ramps and street reconstruction grading. Your expertise will ensure that all projects meet regulatory standards while enhancing accessibility and safety for all users.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed designs for ADA compliant curb ramps, ensuring adherence to local, state, and federal guidelines.
- Conduct grading and reconstruction plans for streets, focusing on capacity, safety, and drainage effectiveness.
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to integrate comprehensive design elements into larger infrastructure projects.
- Perform site assessments and surveys to gather data necessary for design and evaluation.
- Prepare and present technical documentation, ensuring clear communication of design intent and compliance with ADA standards.
- Provide technical marketing support during project proposals and presentations, highlighting the benefits of ADA compliance and innovative engineering solutions.
- Engage with stakeholders, including municipal officials and community members, to address questions and provide insights on project designs.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Civil Engineering Technology or a related field.
- Proven experience in civil design, particularly in ADA compliance and street infrastructure.
- Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D) and GIS applications.
- Strong understanding of ADA regulations and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
