Job Title: Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) Technician

Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) Technician to support our VDC process by creating accurate digital representations of electrical systems. In this role, you will collaborate closely with Project Layout Designers (PLD) to develop comprehensive digital models that adhere to Miller Electric’s high standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize Revit software to create and modify detailed 3D models of electrical systems in accordance with project requirements.
• Collaborate with Project Layout Designers to ensure accurate and efficient layout of electrical components.
• Ensure all digital representations align with Miller Electric standards and industry best practices.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of project documentation, including drawings and specifications.
• Conduct regular quality checks on models to identify and resolve discrepancies or inaccuracies.
• Participate in project coordination meetings to provide technical support and insights related to VDC processes.
• Stay updated on the latest software updates, tools, and industry trends to enhance modeling techniques.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Revit and experience in 3D modeling, particularly in electrical design.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and layout design principles.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality digital models.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
