What you will do: You will support CEWIL’s general operations, marketing strategy, website, social media, and story telling. The primary responsibility is supporting our team to create interesting and original content related to all things WIL. We want to use our qualitative and quantitative data, stories, and resources to continue our leadership position in quality WIL in Canada. This position will mean thinking strategically about how information is shared digitally across multiple stakeholders in an engaging and clear way.
We’re looking for a superstar who is ready for a challenge, which has the opportunity to create a legacy of WIL in Canada! Some of the responsibilities include:
- Translation of information, data and content into engaging and relevant social media post on Linkedin, Twitter, IG and Facebook.
Creating graphics to feed social media channels with all popular formats (text, images, videos and stories) (e.g. through Canva or Photoshop)
- Creating a communications calendar for all social medias,
- Monitor success of your communications output through social media insights analysis as well as the public responses,
- Translate our social media insights for the Board,
- Help to build dynamic online communities of practice with the team through our association management platform (iMIS),
- Supporting, planning and coordinating WIL-related events including, but not limited to; National WIL Month, Conferences, etc…
- Preparing interesting and graphically appealing conference communications via MailChimp
- Coordinate and set-up online conference components on our event management platform (illuxi)
- Other exciting projects as they emerge.
Why you:
You have the following qualifications, skills, talents and capabilities:
- Undergraduate Degree / College Diploma or equivalent experience.
- Mastery of the English and French language is a must.
- An excellent communicator (written, verbal and visual).
- Creativity is your middle name.
- Social media wizardry.
- Experience working with and designing websites
- Strong understanding of common digital marketing tools and social platforms.
- Ability to work autonomously but also within the goals of our team.
- Ability to work as part of high performing team under tight timelines.
- Tech savvy and creative-oriented mindset.
- Able to see the big picture but have an eye for small details.
- An organized human with an ability to set objectives and achieve them.
- Ability to make visions come to life.
And it would be great if you also had the following (but please still apply if you don’t have them!):
- Experience working using the iMIS platform would be nice.
- Video editing experience would be great but not mandatory.

- Remotely from your own location, CEWIL is a national organization and work from anywhere in Canada is possible.

- This is a contract that requires an immediate start, currently ending on March 31, 2024. We are open to varying contract lengths.
- Some irregular work hours may be necessary as the role is national, over multiple time zones – but not to worry, we believe in flexibility and accountability, so your “9-5” might look different but it’s the quality that matter most!
- The salary for this role is will commensurate with experience, candidate expectations, industry average and budgets – we’ll take several factors into account.
