Senior Data Scientist – Actuarial Analytics
The Role
As a Senior Data Scientist in our Actuarial Consulting team, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality actuarial services and solutions to our clients. You will work on a variety of projects, using your advanced data science and actuarial skills to develop and deliver innovative actuarial models and solutions. You will also have the opportunity to work closely with clients, providing expert advice and support on actuarial matters.
Key Responsibilities
– Develop and deliver innovative actuarial models and solutions using advanced data science techniques
– Collaborate with clients to understand their actuarial needs and provide expert advice and support
– Analyze complex actuarial data to identify trends and patterns, and make recommendations for improvement
– Communicate findings and recommendations to clients in a clear and concise manner
– Work closely with other members of the Actuarial Consulting team to deliver high-quality actuarial services and solutions
– Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in data science and actuarial analytics, and apply this knowledge to improve our services and solutions
Skills and Experience
– Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, or a related field
– Minimum of 5 years’ experience in actuarial analytics and data science
– Advanced knowledge of actuarial modeling techniques and statistical analysis
– Experience with programming languages such as Python, R, or SAS
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently
– Professional actuarial designation (e.g., FSA, ACAS) is preferred
