Job Description:
Our company is seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Purchasing Manager to join our team in Mississauga, ON. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the purchasing function of the company, including sourcing new suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing inventory levels. The Purchasing Manager will also be responsible for developing and implementing purchasing strategies to optimize cost savings and ensure the timely delivery of goods and services. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities:
– Manage the company’s purchasing activities, including sourcing suppliers and negotiating contracts
– Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize cost savings
– Ensure the timely delivery of goods and services to meet production and operational needs
– Manage inventory levels to minimize excess and obsolete inventory
– Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their purchasing needs
– Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues or disputes
– Stay current on market trends, pricing, and new products

Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, or related field
– Minimum of 5 years of purchasing experience, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment
– Proven track record of negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
– Excellent communication and negotiation skills
– Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
