Account Managers must be proactive in running initiatives while still being a team player and supporting the Account team with delivering on client expectations. They should be a communications professional who is able to handle a broad variety of tasks with increasing independence and sound judgment. They are trusted advisors with the ability to build relationships across all of Ogilvy Health’s vast resources and capabilities.What You’ll Do

  • Support Senior Account Managers and Account Supervisors in managing all the brand’s projects & know where projects are at all times
  • Ensure delivery of high-quality communication products, on time and on budget, while managing and ensuring quality service to our clients (attention to detail, updated status and budget reports, organized communication, responsiveness)
  • Lead client status and manage day-to-day client relationship on ongoing projects
  • Develop project briefs and coordinate efforts of the projects between project managers, strategy, creative, medical, clients, Veeva/MLR, PAAB/ASC etc.
  • Review copy decks and artwork vs briefs and provide valuable, thoughtful input for internal teams in accordance with client requirements and regulatory requirements (PAAB/ASC/Health Canada)
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of the codes and requirements of the Canadian regulatory bodies (PAAB/ASC/Health Canada)
  • Start to show an understanding of the brand big picture and how the brand’s tactical plan works to accomplish brand goals
  • Quality assurance: proofread/QA copy decks and layouts as part of internal review
  • Support Account leads in managing day-to-day on accounts and ensuring a positive relationship with clients and preparing proposals for new business or new ideas
  • Ensure financial follow-up and billing requests internally (including budgets recaps and flag overages to Account Directors in a timely fashion)
  • Guide and oversee the growth and development of Account Executives and Account Coordinators as appropriate

What You’ll Need

  • 2-3+ years related pharmaceutical/healthcare account management experience from agency, marketing and/or medical education account
  • Outstanding organization and prioritization abilities
  • Working knowledge of all media (print, TV, radio and digital)
  • For Canadian Accounts: PAAB and ASC understanding and basic negotiation skills (supported by Account Supervisor and Director)
  • Be a self-motivator, willing to stay up to date in a fast-paced environment
  • Financial Management abilities – experience in building estimates and managing project profitability and ability to speak to clients about scope/value and negotiate
  • Interest in science/health and marketing and a learning attitude
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • A service attitude
  • Able to work independently and to take ownership while being a team player and mindful of others
  • Ability to listen, learn and add value to clients and Agency
