If you love music and got excited just thinking about joining this amazing organization, we would love to meet you!Associate Promotion ManagerThe UMC team works four days a week from our creative campus located in Liberty Village, Toronto and one day to work virtually.Reporting to the Senior Director, Promotion, the Associate Promotion Manager is responsible for:​Maximize exposure for all Universal Music Group artist filesSecure & track airplay, promotions and social media exposure at radio for our artists & have an excellent knowledge of the radio landscapeSet up advance, day of show and virtual interviews with media for touring and non-touring artistsCoordinate & oversee on-site events at concerts, in-store events, etc.Seek alternative means of promoting our artists & labels, including third party opportunitiesBooking, creating, & monitoring radio advertisingSupport the National Promotion Coordinator to set up new releases and music servicing, chart reporting and other administration work as requiredPartner with the live music scene and the club culture/DJsOther duties as assignedRequirements:A positive attitude and team player with ability to work independentlyExcellent verbal and written communication skills2-5 years of experience in the music and/or radio industryPost-secondary degree or diploma in radio, media and/or entertainment related fieldsStrong coordination and organizational skillsKnowledge of radio promotion in the music industry, industry data & tracking programs and platforms (Mediabase, DSPs, PlayMPE, DMDS, etc.)Ability to work both independently and collaboratively to drive results is a mustPassion for and knowledge of a wide variety of music genres is a must.Excellent computer skills with a strong background in the Microsoft Office Suite and excellent writing, spelling and typing skillsProven ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, responding to issues promptly with a strong orientation toward customer service and teamworkStrong organizational and time management skills, including prioritization and follow throughDetail oriented/Strong ability to multi-task with and have a sense of urgency/willingness to work quickly and efficientlyAble to comfortably converse with all types of people from both within and outside the companySelf-starter, good relationship building skills, proactive approach to work, constantly seeking improvement in all areasAvailable for travel as requiredUniversal Music Canada is committed to equity, diversity, and inclusion, and strongly welcomes and encourages applications from Indigenous Peoples, people of colour, women, persons with disabilities, people who are 2SLGBTQIA+, and people from other diverse communities.
