Autodesk’s Entertainment & Media Solutions (EMS) team is looking for a Senior Content Designer who’ll work with our development teams who are leveraging AI to empower the artists using our content creation tools. As part of our Content Design team, you’ll help drive product adoption and user satisfaction, collaborating closely with interaction designers and product development teams to make powerful technical workflows more approachable and learnable. Reporting to our Senior Manager, Experience Design, you’ll craft engaging content and experiences that guide and support our users. You’ll work with a team to build product experiences that are easy to understand, learn, and use. This role requires general domain familiarity with 3D content creation workflows, knowledge or experience with generative AI and LLMs, plus exceptional content design skills.You’ll be responsible for helping to modernize our content authoring tools, pipelines, and processes to help us leverage AI appropriately in reaching our product goals. You’ll also use your content design skills to support workflows in multiple products, including creating:UI labels and strings, in-product messagingin-product learning experiences powered by AIuser-facing online help for artistsdocumentation for technical directors/usersvideo tutorial content and illustrationsThis is a hybrid/remote role with preference for candidates in Canada, ideally based in Toronto or Montreal.Please include the link to your portfolio with password, if required for access to be considered for this role.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with development teams to understand user needs, context, and goals, and use that understanding to influence ease of use and learnability in product designsLeverage AI tools and establish processes that help us to derive insights from content analytics, user interactions, and other research to help inform content decisionsDevelop a user-centric content strategy to deliver quality learning materials within AI-powered interfaces and generative AI product contextsCraft user interface text and in-product messaging that helps users to be successful using Autodesk productsDistil complex subject matter into clear content, in various formats including documentation and video tutorialsApply and contribute to Autodesk and product voice standards and terminology across products to improve usability and consistencyApply design-thinking principles and user-centered design techniques to all projects, participate in or lead human-centered design workshops and other eventsMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a related field, such as technical writing, engineering, strategic communications, or product design5+ years’ experience developing high-quality content experiences for software applicationsExperience using assistive AI technology, generative AI, and/or using and training LLMs for chat interfacesKnowledge of using analytics and data to improve contentAbility to work independently and communicate effectively in a distributed, global team environmentPreferred QualificationsDomain knowledge including use of Maya and/or 3ds Max softwareExperience in film/TV production, VFX, or related 3D content creation industryStrong skills and experience with design tools such as FigmaExperience with GitHub and Markdown authoring, markup languages (such as HTML, XML, or DITA XML) and knowledge of various content management systems (CMS)Learn MoreAbout Autodesk
