Job description: Job Description:We are looking for a driven and talented Digital Marketing and Communications Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play an integral role in managing our digital communication strategies, enhancing our online presence, and ensuring seamless collaboration across departments.Key Responsibilities
- Manage company’s internal and external communication platforms, including but not limited to websites (built on WordPress), social media channels, email marketing platforms, and more.
- Troubleshoot and address backend WordPress site issues as needed.
- Create and execute marketing and communication campaigns.
- Write and edit high-quality, engaging content for various audiences, including long-form articles, press releases, social media posts, and email newsletters.
- Develop and monitor digital marketing initiatives, including paid advertisements on Google, Meta, and other platforms, to increase our digital reach.
- Collaborate with the team to produce visual, video, and photography content that drives engagement and strengthens our brand.
- Provide proactive support in high-pressure situations, such as strikes or layoffs, ensuring accurate and timely roll-out of communications to relevant stakeholders.
- Build and sustain positive relationships with internal team members and external audiences.
Requirements:Core Candidate Requirements (Non-Negotiables)
- Fully bilingual in English and French (written and verbal).
- Must work in-office five days a week.
- Possess a valid G driver’s license (or be very close to obtaining it) as occasional travel is required.

- Confident and effective public speaker.

- Tech-savvy and well-versed in digital marketing (generalist) and social media marketing (generalist).

- Strong marketing communications skills, including excellent writing, copywriting, and editing abilities for both short- and long-form content.
- Ability to collaborate closely within a small, tight-knit team and demonstrate a team-player attitude.
- Willingness to travel occasionally within Canada and the U.S.

- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator) and video editing tools.
- Skills in video creation, photography, or other visual content development.
- Previous experience creating visual content for marketing campaigns.
