Join us now and give your career a home.Intern – Legal (Articling Student)Mississauga, ON / Full-time (Hybrid)Pay rate $30 to $35 (per hour)Your responsibilitiesThe Legal Intern will assist the Head of Legal and Compliance in a variety of legal tasks.

• Legal research and drafting in a variety of areas of law, including: corporate/commercial, employment, competition, consumer protection, marketing and advertising, government relations, consumer protection, and privacy
• Review and update internal policies and training materials
• Collaborate with external counsel
• Assist with various corporate projects
• Attend internal meetings
• Participate in special projects

Your Profile

• Bachelor’s degree (Four Year College, Common Law degree (LL.B. or J.D.)) – Required
• Master’s Degree (Common Law degree (LL.B. or J.D.)) – Preferred
• 0-2 Years of Experience (Corporate/Commercial Law, Compliance & Regulatory, Employment Law) – Preferred
• Successful completion of the Barrister and Solicitor licensing exams (Law Society of Ontario)
• Good analytical, communication and research skills
• Confident, self-motivated, able to balance competing priorities and work with minimum supervision
• International exposure and mindset
• Fluency in French is preferred
• Privacy law experience and/or training is preferred
• The duration of internship would be 10 months.
