Job Description:

We are currently seeking a Distribution Centre Manager to join our team in Inverness, Scotland. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the distribution centre operations, ensuring the efficient and effective movement of goods and products in and out of the facility.

Key Responsibilities:
– Oversee all aspects of the distribution centre operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatching of goods
– Manage and lead a team of staff, providing coaching, training, and performance management
– Develop and implement operational strategies to improve productivity, efficiency, and customer service
– Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive improvements and achieve targets
– Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies
– Manage inventory levels and stock control to minimize shrinkage and improve accuracy
– Liaise with other departments, suppliers, and external partners to coordinate activities and address issues
– Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes and reduce costs
– Prepare and report on operational performance, budgetary and financial matters

Qualifications and Experience:
– Proven experience in a managerial role within a distribution or warehouse environment
– Strong leadership and people management skills
– Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
– Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations
– Experience with inventory management software and WMS (Warehouse Management System)
– Ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritize workload
– Flexibility to work various shifts and weekends as required
