The head office is located at 351 King St E.In this role, you will be reporting to:Lori Hanxhari – Senior Manager, Financial Reporting & ConsolidationTalent Partner overseeing the role:– Principal Talent Acquisition Partner & CoachWhat you will be doing:

• Manage month-end close duties, including reviewing and approving journal entries and supporting schedules.
• Ensure timely, accurate, and consistent financial reporting across consolidated and legal entity statements.
• Collaborate with external auditors to complete year-end audits and other ad hoc audits efficiently.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies, internal controls, and process improvement initiatives.
• Lead financial reporting projects, including the implementation of changes in accounting standards.
• Contribute to acquisition accounting processes, ensuring proper ledger updates and compliance.
• Review and reconcile complex financial and accounting records for errors, omissions, and inconsistencies.
• Research and resolve technical accounting issues and recommend solutions based on policies and best practices.
• Identify inefficiencies in accounting processes and implement procedural and system improvements.
• Utilize emerging technologies to automate processes while maintaining accuracy and accountability.
• Drive data accuracy, reporting improvements, and increased efficiency across the accounting function.
• Participate in system and process implementation projects as required.

Critical skills to succeed in this role:

• Expertise in full-cycle accounting and reconciliation of complex accounts.
• Knowledge of ERP systems (NetSuite) and Microsoft Suite tools.
• Experience in financial consolidation and integrating subsidiaries is an asset.
• Exceptional attention to detail and analytical reasoning.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to summarize and present complex data.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, prioritize workload effectively, and meet deadlines.
• A proactive, motivated team player with a track record of improving process efficiencies.
• SaaS or recurring revenue industry experience is a plus.

Hard requirements:

• Canadian CPA designation (mandatory).
• Big 4 – trained CPA
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, or a related discipline.
• 6+ years of experience in accounting/finance roles, with exposure to financial reporting and audit requirements.
• Proficiency in Excel, with advanced skills in data analysis and presentation.
• Experience managing transactions in multiple currencies and working with multiple legal entities.
