Join us now and point your career forward!Job SummaryThe Accountant, Fixed Assets will liaise with operations and external suppliers on a daily basis and deliver results according to deadlines. They will be a motivated and results oriented individual.Now, if you were to come on board as our Accountant, Fixed Assets, we’d ask you to do the following for us:Take part in period end close procedures and liaise with accounting team to ensure proper periodic closeConduct ongoing analysis and monitoring of data, report on performance metrics internallyTrack capital asset requests and process assets related to purchasesParticipate in other ad-hoc projects as directed by reporting managerPrepare balance sheet analysisSupport with USD Draft requests and ensuring that the drafts are correctly processed and paid out in a timely mannerEnsuring that the capital expenses are accounted for correctly as per Compass Group Policies and are in compliance with GAAP requirementsRequirements:Post-secondary degree or diploma in accounting1-3 years Financial Accounting experience in a computerized accounting environmentExceptional analytical skills and the initiative to solve problemsExcellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work well in a team environment, both in the office and with OperationsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong organizational skillsExperience working with JD Edwards would be an assetCompass Group Canada is committed to nurturing a diverse workforce representative of the communities within which we operate.
