Your opportunity
Our Toronto office is looking for a Content Marketing Coordinator to join the firm’s Marketing team and support the BDO Consulting Practice. As part of a talented and collaborative Content Marketing team, this role will own the following responsibilities:
- Intake, prioritize, and complete a high volume of consulting content requests on a daily basis via an internal workflow management system
- Create and edit a variety of engaging content across a variety of consulting topics, including but not limited to: social posts, advertising copy, email communications, web copy, employee biographies, case studies, and articles
- Collaborate with marketing and sales colleagues in consulting to identify topics of interest, execute research and interviews with subject matter experts to gather source material, and assess relevance of information collected
- Communicate with the firm’s marketing team members on project delivery dates and pivot during times of high demand
- Assist with tasks associated with a variety of consulting marketing campaigns, particularly lead generation, demand generation, and account-based marketing
- Interpret technical information and translate into content that is accessible to BDO Consulting’s target audiences while maintaining accuracy
- Monitor and stay informed on topics and current business issues related to the BDO Consulting services and clients
- Work with external service providers, such as agencies and ghost writers, where required
- Enforce the international BDO network’s corporate visual identity standards, including consistency of look and feel in design and writing styles

Your experience and education
- You have a University degree in journalism, communications, English, marketing or a related field
- You have experience working in a fast-paced environment
- You have 2-3 years of related experience, including hands-on experience in content creation in a B2B environment (background in professional services industry is considered an asset)
- You have strong writing, proofreading, and editing skills
- You have experience developing content related to this role
- You have effective time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
- You have a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders regarding turnaround time for requests and content revisions
- You have superior organizational skills and attention to detail
- You have strong knowledge of content marketing principles and related areas such as search engine optimization (SEO), writing for the web, and social media
- You are comfortable with marketing technology (MarTech) tools such as Marketo, Uberflip, and Drift
- You have strong problem-solving skills
- You have strong interpersonal and client-focused skills and a positive and enthusiastic attitude
- You are able to collaborate and work effectively as part of team
