Join us.POSITION OVERVIEW:The Globe and Mail is seeking an experienced and dynamic Content Specialist to join our Commerce and Affiliate Team. The role will be responsible for writing and compiling consumer recommendations across various categories, including fashion, beauty, home goods, kids, technology, travel, health and more. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of affiliate commerce and a knack for writing and compiling articles, reviews and roundups that help our audience make informed purchasing decisions.RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Write and compile high-quality consumer recommendation content across multiple categories, enabled with affiliate links.
- Collaborate with editorial team, product growth team and external partners to develop engaging and informative shopping guides and relevant articles.
- Ensure all affiliate content is accurate and compelling.
- Develop and manage a content calendar to maintain a steady flow of content.
- Identify and evaluate products for recommendation, leveraging affiliate commerce opportunities.
- Stay up-to-date with market trends and audience preferences to keep content relevant and engaging.
- Work with marketing and audience teams to promote content and drive audience engagement.
- Conduct regular content audits to identify opportunities for improvement and update outdated information.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, Communications, or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience working in affiliate commerce.
- Proven experience as a content producer, preferably in consumer recommendations or related media.
- Exceptional writing and proofreading skills.
- Strong understanding of affiliate commerce and SEO best practices.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Creative mindset with a keen eye for trends and innovative content ideas.
- Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and social media platforms.
- Proven ability to work in a daily fast paced environment.
