Job Title: Legal Counsel – Marketing and Business Development

Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic Legal Counsel to join our team, focusing on providing strategic legal advice and counsel across various business matters, particularly in development, sales, marketing, and consumer relations. In this role, you will play a crucial part in shaping our marketing initiatives and sales strategies through your expertise in legal compliance and contract negotiation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Legal Advisory: Provide day-to-day legal support and strategic counsel on all business matters related to development, sales, and marketing, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

• Contract Drafting and Negotiation: Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts and agreements with third-party developers and sellers, including marketing and sales arrangements.

• Ongoing Guidance: Offer ongoing legal guidance to internal stakeholders, ensuring that all marketing and sales initiatives are aligned with legal standards and best practices.

• Risk Assessment: Identify and mitigate potential legal risks associated with marketing activities, product launches, and sales strategies.

• Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and product development, to address legal issues and facilitate business objectives.

• Monitor Legal Developments: Stay updated on relevant legal trends and changes in regulations that impact marketing and business practices, proactively advising the team on necessary adjustments.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the bar in relevant jurisdiction(s).
• 3+ years of legal experience, ideally in a corporate or in-house setting, with a focus on marketing and sales law.
• Strong negotiation skills and a thorough understanding of contract law.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across various departments.
• Ability to balance legal considerations with business objectives to facilitate effective decision-making.
