This role will be in the Toronto Office.Corporate AffairsThe Corporate Affairs team is focused on preserving, promoting, and enhancing CPP Investments’ culture, brand, and reputation. In this role, the successful candidate will dedicate their time to the Employee Engagement & Communications, Digital and Social Communications and Strategic Communications teams while gaining valuable exposure to some of CPP Investments internal and external global activities.Employee Engagement & Communications plans, executes and delivers high impact, cross Fund communications, initiatives, and activities to ensure leaders and employees are informed, engaged, and contributing to our success.Digital and Social Communications manage the website ( ), the technical elements of our intranet, as well as our Social Channels on Instagram and LinkedIn.Strategic Communications is focused on driving proactive strategic communications and thought leadership strategies that meaningfully support CPP Investments’ pursuit of its business objectives while enhancing its reputation domestically and internationally.In this unique internship role, you will work closely with the Corporate Affairs team to develop and distribute dynamic content related to internal and external programs across all channels and platforms. Specifically, you will have the opportunity to contribute to new and fundamental employee communications initiatives, from supporting and creating editorial content and internal speaking events – to externally, planning and executing global and domestic activities, including those related to CPP Investments’ thought leadership strategy, alumni program, and other department business priorities.Responsibilities

  • Use storytelling to engage and inform employees and external stakeholders across multi-channel platforms.
  • Support global employee and external stakeholder events.
  • Contribute to communications plans.
  • Help develop research-driven insights to continually enhance the impact of internal communications programs, creating compelling pieces of communication (presentations, infographics, and videos).
  • Research and analyze trends and issues to support our business and communication priorities.
  • Assist project management and planning efforts to advance the Fund’s employee engagement programs and strategic communications.
  • Support the development of key messages, speeches, PowerPoint presentations, and briefing materials on a range of topics.
  • Other duties as assigned.

We encourage you to bring your full self to work and take every opportunity to excel in your role.QualificationsWho We’re Looking ForThe successful candidate will be a self-starter with excellent verbal and written communications skills, demonstrable business literacy, including knowledge of global economic trends, and an ability to quickly grasp complexity.

  • Candidates in an undergraduate or graduate program that will be returning to school in the Fall of 2025 are eligible to apply.
  • Working towards a degree in Communications, Business, Public Relations, or an associated field of study. Knowledge of the investment management industry is an asset.
  • Strategic thinker and strong communicator who can deliver clear and concise communications with a high attention to detail.
  • Experience with audio visual production and event planning are assets.
  • Fluency in digital communication channels, social platforms, and visual presentations (i.e. PowerPoint, video production).
  • Ability to distill complex information into compelling and concise content for targeted audiences.
  • Proactive and high-performing team player with a collaborative approach and actively contributes to Corporate Affairs, Public Affairs and Communications and Fund-wide initiatives.
  • Project management skills; able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and exhibit flexibility and adaptability to change.
  • Strict adherence to confidentiality and always exhibiting a high level of professionalism.
  • Detail and results-oriented and the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Exemplifies the Guiding Principles of integrity, partnership and high performance.
  • French fluency an asset.
