Position: Mechatronics Engineer

Location: Scarborough, ON

Mechatronics Engineer is needed by our client who is a market leader in the design and manufacture of bespoke systems for building services and automotive testing across the continent. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong experience in both electrical and mechanical engineering and wanting to make the next step in their career.

The primary function of the role of a Mechatronics Engineer is to support existing projects and new developments across the spectrum of the development cycle from concept through to commissioning, including modifying and upgrading existing designs.

Key responsibilities of the Mechatronics Engineer include:

– Design and development of bespoke electromechanical systems
– Creation of new control systems
– Participation in the full product life cycle from concept through to commissioning
– Developing and testing prototype model systems
– Investigating and troubleshooting production issues
– Providing technical support to in-house and customer engineers
– Adherence to ISO9001 engineering procedures and policies
– Maintaining a focus on Health and Safety in all aspects of engineering activities

In order to be successful in this role, you should have a degree in Mechatronics, Electrical or Mechanical engineering, experience of systems, and hardware development in a variety of disciplines as well as the ability to adapt to new techniques and practices quickly.
