Job description: Under the Executive & Artistic Director of Red Sky Performance, the Digital Content Producer will manage a coordinated strategic approach to digital content creation and dissemination and bring proven and innovative approaches to digital content creation with a strong knowledge of social media platforms and engagement strategies for Red Sky.

The Digital Content Producer requires a deep commitment to and engagement with Red Sky’s artistic goals and company ethos, as well as a strong sense of responsibility and excellent work ethic.

The Digital Content Producer will assist Red Sky in moving forward to achieve its vision: To create inspiring experiences of contemporary Indigenous arts and culture by creating and managing the production and multimedia outputs across digital platforms, social media, apps and the company website.

The Digital Content Producer will apply fundamental principles for engagement and generate innovative, relevant content and ideas that will attract audiences through distinctive multimedia content, integrated with social media and campaigns.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Develop and produce strong multimedia content in alignment with Red Sky’s vision, values and goals, with strong engagement.
  • Support the Company’s goal to seize opportunities to innovate, develop and amplify the Company’s programming and profile through digital initiatives.
  • Develop a strategic digital plan, a blueprint that pro-actively generates innovative, relevant content that will attract audiences through distinctive multimedia content, integrated with social media and campaigns.
  • Develop the Company’s style guide relevant in the digital space and champion proper use of the Red Sky Brand Identity across all marketing and digital channels.
  • Create and manage the production and multimedia outputs across digital platforms, social media campaigns, apps, and the company’s website.
  • Provide best-practice multimedia content to drive growth and engagement on our social media channels, drive traffic to our website, and drive app downloads.
  • Build and maintain the Company’s digital asset database.
  • Support REDTalks and Red Sky at Night events including research, artist profiles, writing script, and develop digital assets.
  • Coordinate and implement live and digital corporate events, workshops and cultivation events in association with Red Sky’s Artistic Director.
  • Manage Red Sky’s Vimeo OTT platform including assets, events, registrations, contact lists, ticketing and sales reports.
  • Support Red Sky’s marketing and communications output including writing and editing e-newsletters, e-blasts, and press releases when needed.
  • Oversee shoots and photography in a tight turn-around, if needed.
  • Liaise with Red Sky partners to ensure cross-organizational synchronicity between brands and digital strategies.
  • Monitor social and web-based analytics, and track and report on performance of digital campaigns.
  • Stay abreast of industry creative trends and keep multimedia production elements ‘on-trend’.

Requirements: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • University or college degree in Digital/Photography/Video or related field
  • Previous work experience producing multi-media content production is required.
  • Extensive experience in planning, producing, and executing social media content across digital platforms, social media, apps, and websites is essential.
  • Extensive experience in developing content and ideas that deliver strong engagement results.
  • Excellent understanding of and experience with post-production to capture high-standard video and audio for the production of video packages.
  • Exemplary organization, time management and administrative skills to set goals and achieve results.
  • Familiarity with arts communities and Indigenous communities is ideal.
  • Openness to work in a cross-cultural, multi-national and international team environment.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Copywriting, blog/creative-writing skill is an asset to build profile and tell our stories.
  • Proficient with Mac OS, video editing, photography, audio editing software

Expected salary: $65000 – 70000 per year
