One critical component of RBC Ventures is Strategic Design (SD). SD leverages the best people to conduct in-depth consumer research, design extraordinary customer experiences, build memorable and unique brands and effective marketing campaigns, transforming how consumers experience our Ventures and RBC.

What is the opportunity?

The SD team is hiring a Digital Creative Designer to join one of our ventures. This person will be asked to develop marketing assets, own, design and refine brand identity assets, and generate creative digital solutions in support of a venture’s business objectives. This person will join a scaling venture, work in a fast-paced environment, and partner with the venture’s marketing and product teams.

What will you do?

  • Conceptualize and create marketing assets, including websites, digital and social media campaigns, digital publications, videos and animations, and other marketing material
  • Develop and/or leverage existing brand guidelines to prepare and deliver assets
  • Work closely and collaboratively with the venture product and marketing teams
  • Collaborate with designers, production artists, writers, developers, and others to execute campaigns and digital solutions
  • Rationalize solutions and effectively communicate ideas and designs

Must Haves

  • 3-5 years of experience working in digital and marketing agencies
  • A portfolio that demonstrates your design skills and conceptual thinking
  • Strong aesthetic skills and an understanding of graphic design core principles with respect to typography, layout/composition, photography, iconography, etc.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or similar tools
  • Ability to embrace feedback and have a desire for continuous iteration and improvement
  • Ability to communicate and present ideas and rationales
  • Comfortable working in a self-guided manner with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage your own time efficiently


  • Experience working in start-up environments
  • Experience in video production and editing
  • Experience with ideating alongside a copywriter
