The Digital Marketing Associate will get the opportunity to work with and learn from our marketing leaders with a track record of success. With the support of your colleagues, you will be Higher Education’s point person when it comes to building assets for promotional materials and social campaigns, organic and paid. You have an eye for design and the technical skills to bring your ideas to life. You can clearly and succinctly communicate the value of a brand and its products. You are curious about higher education, learner and instructor experiences and passionate about integrating diversity, equity and inclusion to create authentic messages that reflect our community.

In return, you will gain an in-depth understanding of our instructor market in Canadian universities and colleges. You will also have opportunities to collaborate with other Pearson geographies and agencies on coordinated marketing campaigns. Your Responsibilities:

Content Development

Develop content goals and strategies and pitch ideas

Create or incorporate illustrations, pictures, and designs to reflect the desired theme and tone of the communications

Coordinate with outside agencies and other Pearson geographies as necessary

Research and identify potential partner organizations and influencers for collaboration opportunities

Manage the editorial (content) calendar and the distribution of content through our various channels

Analyze performance indicators and web traffic for created content

Collaborate to translate the company’s overall growth strategy and vision into content

Graphic Design:

Create a wide range of graphics, layouts and videos for product illustrations, social media posts, websites, digital advertisements and other marketing materials

Write new web content (including instructor blogs) and edit existing content

Develop clear and engaging content that is consistent with the company’s brand image and voice, that addresses both business goals and consumer needs

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree, diploma or equivalent experience in marketing, mass communication, or graphic design

Experience in copywriting, graphic design, video editing or a related field, with a strong portfolio.

Strong working knowledge of graphic design, photo editing and video editing software, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro and After Effects.

Exemplary written and verbal communication skills.

Strong attention to detail, multitasking, and analytical skills.

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

A strong eye for visual composition.

Effective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.

Understanding of marketing, production, website design, corporate identity, advertisements, and multimedia design.

Professional approach to time, costs and deadlines

Demonstrates (and enjoys) creative thinking and problem solving

Good working knowledge of HTML and SEO is advantageous

Familiarity with various social media outlets (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram etc) and social media marketing is advantageous
