Job description: The Digital Marketing Specialist will be responsible for designing and delivering digital marketing campaigns to support the growth of ShawFlex and DSG-Canusa products and services in North America and internationally – with focus on generating a high-volume, qualified Lead Funnel across online channels. As a core member of the Marketing team, the Digital Marketing Specialist will own the effectiveness of our online presence & advertising campaigns and streamline our website & literature library to improve customer experiences. The individual will bring a strong technical skill set and will be a key part of the development and execution of the marketing plan – driving online lead generation, brand awareness, and sales momentum.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
A) Integrated Digital Marketing Communications, Analytics and Sales growth from online sources

  • Own, develop and execute digital marketing campaigns for new or existing products and services, including setting objectives, defining targets, developing and deploying content across online channels such as search, remarketing, social, email, website or landing pages.
  • Analyze digital campaigns & website performance results and report on KPI’s to help shape future investments (i.e. CPC, CPL, CPO, Total Leads Generated, Total Sales from lead sources, ROMI). Set benchmarks for relative comparison and continuous improvement.
  • Deploy monthly budget for digital advertising spend; ensuring spend is tracked and maximized effectively with initial focus on Google Ads (winning keyword search vs. competition), LinkedIn Ads, and other strategic placements.
  • In collaboration with Product Managers, produce, update and manage all product & service line literature for online Marketing and Sales efforts including – product data sheets, brochures, catalogs, case studies, presentations, videos – ensuring value propositions are clear and concise and branding is employed consistently internally and externally.
  • Maintain/troubleshoot, and update/improve Shawcor’s ShawFlex and DSG-Canusa websites, including all content, customer journey and UX/CX design through vendor support and/or content management system (CMS).
  • Proactively create, post, and maintain all new and existing content, copy and assets on website and across online channels/accounts (social media, search, display ads, emails, landing pages, forms, etc.) to reach our target audience.
  • Lead marketing content production, including arranging video shoots and webinars, newsletters and digital media files, creating graphical design elements and animations, and publishing assets or copy to websites, email, and to various social media platforms.
  • Manage and guide outside vendors to design/develop/deliver marketing assets as needed (datasheets, videos, catalogs, custom media).
  • Own and manage the divisional SharePoint/Teams Marketing site with all marketing communications materials

B) Branding, Reporting and Corporate Admin

  • Distribute Customer Surveys via email, track customer satisfaction (Net Promotor Score) and summarize via annual report.
  • Support customer/industry research, analytics and reporting as required.
  • Support tradeshow and conference coordination or asset creation/design as required.
  • Develop and maintain consistent brand standards across the division, including brand template creation and re-branding updates as needed.
  • Participate and contribute to Shawcor Marketing Council

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business or related field
  • Additional digital marketing courses/certifications considered an asset (e.g Digital analytics & Insights training, Pardot & Salesforce training, Social Media Marketing training etc.)
  • Minimum 3-5 years in a fast-paced technical environment required. Experience must be in modern digital marketing tactics – including campaign generation, execution and reporting, website management, digital media content and marketing automation.
  • Considered an expert in digital campaign development and inbound content development to attract, convert, and close prospects using appropriate call-to-actions, forms and optimization techniques (SEO/SEM) and A/B testing.
  • Considered an expert at using Marketing Automation Software (Pardot or equivalent) to support Digital Marketing Campaigns, analyzing results, reporting KPI’s and implementing improvement strategies.
  • Demonstrated experience building, executing, and monitoring paid digital advertising campaigns using Google Ads/Google Search Console, Google Remarketing, LinkedIn, and YouTube platforms. Mapping lead generation forms to Salesforce (Zapier interface) would be nice to have.
  • Demonstrated experience managing website content through a content management system and using Google Analytics to understand and optimize website performance.
  • Advanced skills with search engine optimization (SEO) to enhance and promote website pages, campaigns and other digital media content.
  • Advanced skills with social media platforms and social media scheduling.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with copywriting experience in a technical environment. Requires previous technical writing experience to write and review material to produce literature, creative briefs, and other relevant marcomm copy.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office suite (particularly in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, OneNote)
  • Basic experience using SalesForce Sales Cloud (or equivalent Customer Relationship Management software) and generating reports to understand impact of Marketing efforts.
  • Basic skills in design software, including Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Premiere, Dreamweaver, Photoshop and Illustrator) to produce or edit graphics or digital media.
  • Dedicated team-player who is highly motivated, can work independently with minimal supervision and with excellent interpersonal skills to develop strong working relationships
  • Basic project management skills with strong organization and keen attention to detail.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to achieve results under conflicting priorities and time pressures.
  • Initiative to see and act on opportunities and make improvements to our Marketing processes or tactics.
  • Previous experience managing vendors (i.e. graphic design, video production, webinar hosting, etc).
  • Solid understanding of AODA compliance, and CASL and GDPR laws.
