Aligned with that vision, the University is embarking on a multi-year transformation of its student administrative system (Student System Renewal Program – SSRP), changing from its current enterprise resource planning (ERP) tool, to a vendor-driven solution supporting faculty and staff to achieve their academic and administrative needs and to support students to easily perform core administrative functions. The SSRP is large multi-year program for the University and will transform how York interacts and works to facilitate student, faculty, and staff success through the student’s educational journey creating a cohesive, integrated experience for all users. The University has made a significant financial investment in this program as it will involve and impact the entire university community and will provide transformed business processes and system infrastructure to support the fundamental academic mission of the university.As part of the Student Systems Renewal Program (SSRP), the Digital Marketing Transformation Manager is a digital marketing technology leader with deep pragmatic digital marketing experience and a passion for maturing the University’s Digital Marketing practice. The Digital Marketing Manager has expertise marketing automation, marketing platforms, and marketing analytics of enterprise marketing solutions in the cloud. The SSRP is an opportunity to modernize digital marketing using next-generation cloud solutions and platforms combined with advanced analytics. The Digital Marketing Manager will work in tandem with stakeholders across campus to implement the most optimal cloud marketing applications and practices on the enterprise CRM platform, provide deep subject matter expertise for the institution, and mentor university staff on all marketing automation deployment related questions and subject matters. The Digital Marketing Transformation Manager will provide authoritative advice on the implementation of digital marketing methods to the SSRP team members towards achieving program goals and objectives. This role reports to the Director, CRM Transformation and works in close collaboration with other Transformation Directors, Solution Integrator Project Resources, Infrastructure teams and University Stakeholder groups.

Education:
-Post-secondary qualification, ideally a university graduate degree, in a technology discipline (e.g. computer science, information systems, cybersecurity, engineering) or an acceptable equivalent combination of academic training and professional experience.

Experience:
-Minimum 10 years experience in digital marketing architecture experience leading and defining customer-facing ecosystems
-Minimum 5 years of experience deploying and operating services on a public cloud framework (e.g., Azure, Oracle or other)
-Experience with Customer Data Management platforms (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics 365 or other) including omni-channel acquisition, profile management, customer segmentation, targeting and personalization
-Familiar with service design and pricing in the context of cloud-based solutions
-Experience with working on cross-function initiatives requiring collaboration among business and technology stakeholders
-Experience with platform, CRM, security, database and data architectures
-Experience in the Higher Education domain would be an asset
-Track record of success in the rigorous planning, execution and timely delivery of enterprise level projects and programs.
-Demonstrated ability to build relationships, negotiate and influence, and manage change in a very complex and sophisticated environment.

Skills:
Knowledge
-Strong knowledge of enterprise marketing platforms (e.g. Microsoft Digital Marketing Centre or other)
-Extensive knowledge of digital marketing architectures, campaign automations, advertising across channels and platforms, social media management and analytics using cloud-based technologies
-In depth knowledge of digital marketing platforms that offer Email Marketing, Lead Funnels, Marketing Automation, Event/Webinar management, Social Media Marketing, Search Engine Marketing and Search Engine Optimization
-Knowledge of API centric delivery such as REST APIs, GraphQL and event-based APIs to deliver API capabilities and/or knowledge of Identity Access and Management practices (e.g., single sign-on, federated security, RBAC) would be an asset
-Skills
-Specialized skills in CRM, Search Engine Marketing, Campaign Execution, Loyalty and Retention practices and processes
-Agile mindset to bridge the gap between technology and the business, understands business value and exposes it when implementing solutions, advocates for a culture of continuous delivery
-Systems thinking mindset, takes a holistic approach to solution development, incorporating all aspects of a system and its environment into the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of the system itself
-Exceptional organizational and collaboration skills working in agile teams that need to plan, develop, test, deploy, release and maintain a solution under pressure and high volumes of iterations.

Additional Notes:
-Work will occur in an open-concept collaborative office setting (when working on campus)
-This role will need to meet with project participants at several locations on both Keele and Glendon campuses. Occasional travel may be required.

*Compensation:
York implemented a revised CPM Compensation Framework in 2019. The Framework is a salary grid consisting of 6 or 8 steps (depending on job grade) which is reviewed annually with possible adjustments, and a lump sum Performance Based Recognition Award. Employees will receive the grid adjustment and depending on performance, eligible permanent employees may move to the next step of the grid and may receive a lump sum Performance Based Recognition Award.Visit the CPM Compensation page on the HR Website to find out more about York’s CPM Compensation Program.
