Job description: Based in Toronto and reporting to the Vice President, Brand, Marketing and Communications, this role is a short-term contract (3-months) that supports the day-to-day execution of digital assets. Driven by our Strategic Plan, the primary area of responsibility includes developing new design and video content, for website and social media. The role will also support website development and mass email marketing.Responsibilities:

  • Video Editing – Edit and produce high-quality video content for various platforms. Optimize video content for different social media platforms. Maintain an organized library of video assets. Review and make necessary revisions to the content based on feedback. Ensure all content is of the highest quality and free of errors. Assist in the development of storyboards and scripts. Use motion graphics and special effects to enhance video content. Export and deliver final video files in the required formats.
  • Graphic Design – Create visually appealing graphic designs for marketing and fundraising materials. Develop graphic materials to support print and digital formats.
  • Mass Email Marketing – Support the development of mass email marketing, including e-newsletters and e-appeals in support of the Integrated Direct Marketing Program and Business Development teams.
  • Website – Manage content updates on our website, in partnership with the Marketing and Communications Coordinator.
  • Cross Collaboration – Collaborate across departments to amplify fundraising campaigns, ideas, and initiatives through digital tools. Manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines. Provide creative input during brainstorming sessions. Participate in team meetings and contribute to project planning.
  • Deadlines and Budgets – Ensure all projects are completed on time and within budget.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere Pro).
  • Dependable judgement and decision making skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills including group presentations; A self-directed and enthusiastic team player.
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to inclusivity, diversity, equity, and accessibility.
  • The capacity to travel (some weekend and evening work required).
  • Bilingualism (English/French) is a definite asset.

Additional things to note:

  • This position does not include responsibility for supervision of employees.
  • The position is performed in a hybrid (home/office) work environment, the team is in office Wednesday and Thursday.
  • Occasional travel and weekend work is required to attend events and give presentations.
