What is the opportunity?
The Director, Digital Marketing is a 12-month contract position that will be part of a team that leads the digital marketing initiatives for our global wealth management social media platforms, corporate websites and digital distribution channels driving performance. As part of the Global Content & Digital Marketing team you will focus on developing and maintaining a digital strategy that supports the promotion of must-read, multi-channel content that aligns with our global wealth management business objectives and the needs of our Ultra/High Net Worth (U/HNW) clients.
What will you do?
- Develop, execute and maintain RBC Wealth Management’s corporate social media, SEO, and SEM strategy with the goal of driving brand awareness, content engagement, website traffic and lead generation through paid and organic promotion of content
- Lead and develop a team of high-performing marketers; motivate and coach for success, while ensuring executional excellence
- Define, monitor and analyze reporting on progressive digital marketing KPI’s, applying insights and implications to future marketing activities
- Pitch, plan, implement, and optimize campaigns in platform for the purpose of promoting RBC Wealth Management content across a variety of platforms and publications
- Support RBC Wealth Management lines of business with their digital campaigns, through the identification of resources, alignment with corporate-level strategies and providing clarity on budgets, workflow, benchmarks, and campaign scheduling
- Manage and mitigate risks by ensuring appropriate technologies, processes and procedures are established for social media use
- Manage campaign budgets with a focus on campaign efficiency and increasing business investment into campaigns
- Compile industry research, competitive landscape information, and trade intelligence for digital marketing strategy development and optimization
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- 10+ years of digital marketing expertise, including experience in a strategic leadership capacity
- People management experience, including coaching and developing direct reports
- Proven success in developing full-funnel digital marketing strategies, and delivering plans that drive results
- Proven experience managing projects across multiple teams
- Experience in tracking, analyzing and reporting of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Fluency with digital marketing tools (eg. Google Analytics, as serving platforms, etc)
- Strong ability to build and manage relationships with multiple stakeholders in a matrixed organization
Nice-to-have
- Creative ability to present ideas and keen attention to detail
- Knowledge of HTML/CSS
- Highly analytical with numerical aptitude
