Position Summary:As a key member of the OVG Canada team, the Director of Revenue Strategy will be a strategic leader with a passion for sports, partnerships and culture. Reporting to the SVP, Partnerships + Revenue, you will lead a team responsible for the strategic build of sports marketing programs for some of the country’s biggest brands, Financial Planning and Reporting. In this role, you will work collaboratively with the Partnership Development team responsible for supporting the delivery of our annual revenue plan. Your focus will be to uncover opportunities to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of our group, deliver insights and assets that inform our go-to-market strategy, provide oversight of our division’s financials, including reporting to key partners, as well as drive incremental revenue through maximizing assets in new and renewed partnerships. You are a creative and organized thought leader with a strong acumen for business development, driven to create and deliver breakthrough and compelling multi-platform marketing solutions.This role will pay a salary of $105,000 to $115,000.For FT roles: Benefits: Health, Dental and Vision insurance, 401(k) savings plan, 401(k) matching, and paid time off (vacation days, sick days, and 11 holidays). Responsibilities:

  • Continually reimagine the status quo and build breakthrough marketing partnerships for OVG Canada’s owned properties and represented clients
  • Leads the development of external-facing partnership documents including new business proposals and renewal; works with our Partnership Development team to pitch new business proposals
  • Lead the development of strategy presentations to sell our partners on a strategic direction
  • Develop high-level campaign thought-starters as jumping off points for our partnership development team
  • Effectively interpret key market insights to inform go-to-market-plans for business development and new assets
  • Stays current on industry trends and effectively shares implications with the broader team including business strategy trends, audience / fan insights, marketing and sponsorship leading practices, connectivity to competitors and global leading practices, etc.
  • Builds and fosters trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Has a revenue-driving mindset and proactively identifies net new opportunities to enhance the business or drive change; is consistently collaborating with internal stakeholders, based on OVG or partner objectives
  • Can take direction from colleagues and is able to develop and lead proposed plan of action to tackle new opportunities and projects, including the required insights and inputs
  • Manage the department P&L, providing ongoing tracking, reports and analysis for all stakeholders
  • Lead the annual fiscal and strategic plan process working collaboratively across the department and organization
  • Provide change management leadership for major departmental initiatives including leading team through process improvements and process mapping to drive efficiencies
  • Develop the team who leads the design and creation of internal and external sales materials and presentations
  • Review and implement technology solutions, managing partner, supplier, and vendor relationships
  • Develop customized, integrated and creative partnership proposals that demonstrate insight and knowledge of client business.
  • Utilize analysis and insight to drive decisions in a way that yields sustained, measurable results.

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 5-10 years of strategy, finance, or partnerships experience; Sports, Entertainment and/or Arena Industry experience preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be dynamic, forward-thinking, extremely analytical and well organized.
  • Must have strong strategic thinking and planning skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word); Adobe Creative Cloud suite (InDesign, Photoshop, etc.) experience a plus.
  • Must have the presence, visibility and record of accomplishment which will enable him/her to immediately establish credibility both within the organization and with individuals outside.
  • Must possess problem solving capabilities to address and resolve issues that face a growing enterprise. When necessary, he/she will be a strong and effective negotiator, comfortable in both complex negotiations as well as sophisticated business situations.
  • Must be comfortable engaging in a variety of different communicative modes (verbal, non- verbal, and written) and being attuned to others through strong active listening skills.
  • Must produce results and be bottom-line oriented yet will possess sensitivity towards people and values.
  • Professional appearance, attitude and communication skills as well as the ability to work with others are required.
  • Experienced with the development and execution of dynamic and effective platforms.
  • Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and information.
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant subject or equivalent experience.
  • Desire to craft marketing programs for brands in the sports and entertainment space, and real passion for bringing new ideas to life.
  • Proven ability to identify opportunities, develop strategies, and negotiate contracts.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, comfortable with public speaking.
  • Ambitious self-starter that works best under minimal supervision.
  • Deep understanding of new media and a desire to stay current on emerging digital platforms.
