The Genomics Software Engineer for Spatial Omics role focuses on developing computational methods and tools for analyzing genomics data. The position supports projects in interactive analysis of large-scale cellular and tissue profiling using sequencing and imaging technologies to advance scientific discovery and drug development.Position:
Full-time (40 hours/week) contract roleResponsibilities:

• Collaborate with scientists to understand and solve genomics-related challenges.
• Work with geographically diverse engineering and scientific teams, ensuring effective communication.
• Develop standardized data processing workflows for image-based and spatial profiling data.
• Write process documentation for primary to tertiary analysis pipelines.
• Deliver tools and systems as workflows (WDL), Python packages, and Jupyter notebook demos.
• Support data lifecycle management, including storage, organization, dissemination, and analytics.

Requirement Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience with biomedical data wrangling, analysis, and visualization.
• Familiarity with single-cell RNA-seq and spatial omics experiments (e.g., 10x Visium, nanoString CosMx) is a plus.
• Strong programming skills in Python, R, or C/C++. Preference for Python experience.
• Experience with UNIX/Linux in scientific environments.
• Knowledge of workflow languages like WDL or NextFlow is a plus.
• Adherence to software engineering best practices, including version control, testing, and usability.
• Ability to communicate complex bioinformatics problems to diverse audiences.
• Enthusiastic and flexible mindset to thrive in a scientific drug discovery environment.
