Job description: Our client is looking to hire a highly skilled and experienced Employment Law Legal Assistant with a solid work ethic and a deep-seated passion for law. If you have a strong sense of initiative, are self-motivated and cooperative, and possess excellent organizational and time-management skills, this could be the opportunity for you.Role Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing legal documentation including briefs, pleadings, and contracts.

• Conduct legal research and analysis.

• Manage the firm’s legal inventory, case files, and digital filing system.

• Provide general administrative support, such as managing schedules and corresponding with clients.

• Maintain strict confidentiality and exercise good judgement when handling sensitive information.

• Coordinate and participate in client meetings and court proceedings.

• Work with the firm’s document management system and other legal software.

Requirements:

• Legal Administrative Assistant Diploma, Law Clerk Diploma, or equivalent related experience.

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in legal or Employment Law.

• Proficiency with the Rules of Civil Procedure and other relevant Board and/or Tribunal processes and procedures, including those of the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario and the Ontario Labour Relations Board.

• Strong ability to communicate professionally with clients and other professionals.

• Experience working with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint, and docketing software like CLIO.

• Excellent attention to detail.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple assignments simultaneously.

• Flexibility to work overtime when necessary.
