The Digital Consumer Engagement Specialist is responsible for providing executional support as a member of the Consumer Engagement Center of Excellence for the Estée Lauder Companies in Canada. They will report to the Director of Consumer Engagement and Digital Marketing.
The successful candidate will bring a passion for beauty and a digital-first mindset to their role as an agile brand partner. With a mission of accelerating change and driving innovation in the consumer experience, this person lives and breathes digital marketing, beauty, trends, and is well versed with the Influencer landscape in Canada. This role requires strong written and verbal communication skills as the team works across various stakeholders in the business.
Consumer Engagement covers the following disciplines: Social/Content, Influencer, Media, Retail, Insights and Cultural Relevancy.
Functional Responsibilities:
Influencer Marketing (35%):
- Become power user on internal Influencer identification + campaign management and reporting tools to provide ongoing brand support
- Know the landscape of key influencers in the beauty space in Canada.
- Familiarity with Influencers in the lifestyle, travel, wellness space an asset
- Provide casting recommendations to brands, when requested
- Support influencer event strategy development and execution in partnership with brands, when requested
Digital Marketing/ Media & Content Strategy (35%):
- Work with the Director and Manager, Consumer Engagement in providing strategic/operational brand support and fulfilling ad hoc brand requests
- Own key KPI reporting dashboards and key reports – and sharing insights and learning to help drive the full funnel media strategies
- Deliver concrete guidelines and KPIs – where to play / targeting / formats / assets and messages – for both campaigns and always-on programs to local counterparts
- Participate in weekly/monthly status calls with our brands, key partners and vendors – providing support to gain approvals and alignment on key campaigns.
- Assist with holistic oversight of paid media for the brand grouping, adding key strategic insights into the planning process
- Provide/lead executional support from a media/creative standpoint, when required
- Coordinate with media partners (e.g. Meta, TikTok) to ensure affiliate is up-do-date on latest developments, products and opportunities and can incorporate these into paid media guidelines to the markets
- Collaborate with agency partners and platforms to stay abreast of all content best practices, category trends and e-commerce integration
- Bring a consumer-first mindset to all content across organic and paid, to drive relevancy, engagement and brand equity across brands
- Become power user on internal content performance tool to help brands identify opportunities for growth
- Support brands in content measurement from a brand and competitive standpoint, identifying whitespace opportunities
- Partner with Insights and Strategy teams to turn Canadian consumer insights into actionable content strategies
- Drive cultural relevancy by collaborating with Insights team on developing unique content approaches for Canadian audiences across the Ageless, Millennial, Gen-Z and Multi-Ethnic consumer
- Report on Canadian Affiliate content performance, cross-brand at a regular cadence
Consumer Insights 30%:
- Support the Canada Affiliate’s digital learning agenda by helping to manage educational events, develop trend reports, continually adapt existing resources with new research
- Contribute to POV’s, Educational Programming and Reporting by being the go-to for research, reporting and analysis
- Be in the know, always tapped into latest social-first trends and relevant conversations in the beauty industry
Qualifications
- Min 3 years of work experience in digital or influencer marketing, beauty, or a similar industry
- Understanding of social media, influencer marketing and digital analytics
- Self-starter with the confidence and ability to tackle new initiatives
- Positive, team player with a service-oriented attitude
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be highly organized and able to prioritize workload
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
